Job Description: Cashier at Kroger

Join our team as a Cashier and create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will be responsible for processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently, while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment that encourages customers to return.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Process transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy.
2. Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
3. Follow guidelines for restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
4. Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
5. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
6. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
7. Maintain equipment through preventive inspections and notify management of repairs needed.
8. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
9. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines, including safety and confidentiality standards.
10. Work effectively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
11. Support diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
12. Perform all essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodations.
