Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, or relevant education and experience.
  • Six months cashier experience, particularly at the Customer Service Desk.
  • Minimum age: 18 years (19 in Idaho and Alaska if selling tobacco).
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and structure.
  • Related retail experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent customer service and motivate others to do the same.
  • Perform cashier duties: open/close register, ring sales, handle transactions, bag merchandise, and manage produce codes.
  • Maintain price discrepancy logs and ensure checkstand cleanliness.
  • Answer phones, comply with policies, and promote company initiatives.
  • Manage Electronic Article Surveillance tags and respond to activations.
Store Accounting and Customer Service Desk Duties:
  • Handle store accounting functions and bank deposits.
  • Manage customer service desk operations: refunds, exchanges, bill pay, lottery, licenses, and more.
  • Support in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments, managing conflicts professionally and acting with integrity.
  • Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
