Job Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policy.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies on postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay current with promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
