Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
3. Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and work honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
8. Comply with food safety regulations and guidelines.
9. Support safety programs by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
10. Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
11. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
12. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
14. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
15. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
16. Support vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
17. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
