Job Description: Cashier at Kroger

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and courteously. The role involves handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and managing checkout procedures according to company policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Understanding and adhering to the Point of Sale (POS) system and company policies on cash handling and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  2. Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  3. Staying current with store promotions and adhering to food safety and safety procedures.
  4. Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
  5. Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including safety and food safety guidelines.
  6. Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
  7. Supporting diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
