Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted sale items, and pricing discrepancies.
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay current with store promotions.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with questions and providing excellent service.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity in all interactions and information handling.
  • Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
