Concentra, Inc is seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to handle posting, reconsideration, and adjustments for all payment types in the Concentra Practice Management system. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality (HIPAA/PHI), and strong cash accounting discipline in a healthcare revenue cycle environment.

The position focuses on applying payments, balancing batches, and resolving posting issues while ensuring compliance with company policy and timely close deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Six months of demonstrated medical revenue cycle experience
• Specialty training in medical billing and posting preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

Responsabilités

• Apply payments to appropriate accounts (Workers' Compensation, patient/private/group health, and employer/contract)
• Transfer payments between offices
• Post cash and adjustments per remittance or EOB
• Read and interpret EOBs and balance posting errors
• Balance daily postings and close batches
• Identify denials or short-paid charges and post accordingly
• Maintain unidentified cash and payments with no backup
• Ensure timely and accurate cash application according to policy
• Escalate issues to leadership when needed
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end close deadlines
