Job summary

Pafford Medical Services is seeking a Cash Posting Analyst to join our Corporate Office in Hope, AR. The role focuses on accurately posting and reconciling payments from Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers to ensure clean accounts.

Responsibilities include processing 835 remittances, EFTs, and other payments, resolving unapplied cash, and supporting daily revenue cycle activities. Strong attention to detail and healthcare billing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
• Experience with payment posting, remittance processing, and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance reimbursements.
• Understanding of EOB and 835 remittance transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Post electronic remittance advice (835) payments accurately and timely.
• Post EFT, lock-box, paper checks, credit card, and other payer payments.
• Verify payments are applied to correct accounts and service dates.
• Review contractual adjustments, write-offs, and payer adjustments.
• Monitor posting volumes and meet turnaround times.
• Investigate posting discrepancies and unapplied cash.
• Reconcile payment activity with remittance files and deposits.
• Collaborate with billing, EDI, and finance to resolve account concerns.
• Maintain documentation within the billing system.
