Job summary

Responsibilities

• Process and post ERA/835, paper checks, credit cards, and other payments.
• Accurately apply payments, adjustments, denials, and postings.
• Reconcile daily deposits to cash posted.
• Research unapplied cash, unidentified payments, variances, and posting discrepancies.
• Review EOBs/remittance advice for payer compliance.
• Communicate with billing, AR, collections to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation of payment activity and reconciliation efforts.
• Meet daily/monthly productivity, accuracy, and cash deadlines.
• Assist with month-end close activities and cash receipts reconciliation.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with policies.
• Complete mandatory training and continuing education.
