Job summary

New Energy Equity in Annapolis, MD is seeking an entry-level AP/AR/Cash Specialist to support the Corporate Accounting team. This role handles vendor invoices, customer billings, cash transactions, and payment activities, offering broad exposure to AP, AR, cash management, and treasury.

You will work with NetSuite and Nexonia, require strong attention to detail and solid Excel skills, and collaborate with finance leadership in monthly closes and cash flow discussions.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidate with a strong desire to build a career in corporate accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the Annapolis, MD office four days per week, 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

• Process AP and billing inboxes; enter and process bills in NetSuite with accurate coding.
• Create customer invoices in NetSuite and conduct collection activities for balances over 30 days.
• Record daily cash activity across subsidiaries and prepare weekly banking/invoicing summaries.
• Process payments (checks, ACH, wire) via NetSuite and Wells Fargo; maintain records.
• Monitor Wells Fargo for positive pay and fraud alerts; cover after-hours as needed.
• Review and reconcile employee expense reports via Nexonia.
• Collaborate with tax department to process federal/state tax payments.
• Support cash flow reports and participate in internal cash flow meetings with leadership.
• Handle office deposits and route communications to appropriate departments.
