Job summary

Encore Fire Protection, the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, is seeking a Manager, Cash Applications to lead a high-volume AR function during growth. You will supervise Cash Application Specialists, ensure timely posting of payments, and drive down unapplied cash.

The role partners with AR Operations, Collections, and Billing to tighten controls, implement process improvements, and deliver accurate cash postings across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cash applications or order-to-cash.
• 2+ years in a management role overseeing a team.
• Experience in decentralized multi-location or field services is preferred.
• Proficiency with Esker and Excel.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of Cash Application Specialists, providing coaching, accountability, and day-to-day direction.
• Own cash application outcomes across all payment channels, including lockbox, ACH, wire, credit card, and checks.
• Monitor and drive down unapplied and unidentified cash balances; resolve root causes with billing and collections.
• Track and report weekly/monthly cash application KPIs to AR leadership and senior management.
• Partner with Treasury, AR Operations, and Billing to improve procedures and automation.
