Rexel USA in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Cash Application Specialist to oversee the daily operations of the Cash Applications team. The role supports balance integrity of Accounts Receivable, prepares reports, analyzes data, and trains new hires to drive efficiency.

The position emphasizes leadership, accuracy, and timely cash processing within a fast-paced distribution environment, reporting to management and ensuring month-end close accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cash Applications/Accounts Receivable (3+ years).
• High School or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and general accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentoring to the Cash Applications team.
• Assist with training for new hires and ongoing development.
• Lead prioritization and assignment of tasks for the team.
• Assist with AR and Branch account reconciliations.
• Process write-offs and cash receipt corrections.
• Prepare daily and monthly cash and GL reconciliations.
• Ensure month-end adjustments are completed.
• Interface with banks to resolve feed/payment issues.
• Provide management with productivity and performance reports.
• Resolve escalated issues and other duties as assigned.
