Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking an AR Cash Application Specialist to join our finance team. You will apply incoming payments to customer accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure cash receipts are posted accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and can collaborate with other departments to resolve payment holds and improve cash flow for a growing, family-owned company focused on reliability and service.

Qualifications

• Experience in cash application or accounts receivable in a corporate/financial setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cash application best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general software.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsabilités

• Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts.
• Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve unapplied cash quickly.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to clarify issues.
• Process and post daily cash receipts (checks, wires, electronic).
• Maintain accurate records and update customer accounts.
• Assist with month-end close by verifying payments are applied.
• Identify and report irregularities in payment processing.
