Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist in Westmont, IL. You will post daily payments, reconcile with invoices, and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate cash application.

The role requires 1–3 years in AR or cash applications, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot), and excellent communication. On-site position with competitive hourly pay, benefits, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, or finance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
• High attention to detail and strong data entry skills (10-key).
• Excellent written & verbal communication; problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Post daily payments from checks, ACH, wire transfers, and lockboxes into the ERP system.
• Reconcile payments received from vendor management systems with invoices in the sales module.
• Process cash application, write-off, or adjustment requests as approved & submitted by Client Analysts.
• Investigate short payments, overpayments, unapplied cash, and missing remittance details.
• Prepare cash application reports and file supporting documentation for audits.

Johnson Service Group is looking for a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our team. You’ll manage daily payment processing, reconcile client payments, research discrepancies, and partner with internal teams and clients to resolve payment issues.
