Job summary

Martin Marietta, a leading American supplier of heavy building materials, seeks a Manager, Cash Applications in Raleigh to lead end-to-end cash application operations, ensure timely payment posting, and uphold internal controls. You will manage a team, drive automation and process improvements across Finance, Sales, and IS, and deliver executive reporting on KPIs and cash trends.

Requires Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 7+ years AR/Cash Application experience, and strong Excel/ERP skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field.
• 7+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable or Cash Application experience.
• 2+ years managing high-performing teams.
• Experience with lockbox, ACH, wire and electronic payments.
• ERP systems and cash application automation preferred (HighRadius).
• Strong ability to drive process improvements and automation.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end cash application operations and ensure accurate posting.
• Lead a team of cash application specialists and manage workload.
• Reduce unapplied cash through monitoring and targeted actions.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Maintain controls and documentation for audits.
• Develop and coach talent; promote continuous improvement.
• Deliver executive reporting on KPIs, trends, and performance.
• Drive automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
