Job summary

Martin-Marietta-1798b2fd is seeking a Manager, Cash Application to lead all aspects of cash application operations, ensuring accurate application of customer payments and strong internal controls. You will partner with Finance, Sales, and Information Services to optimize processes and drive working capital improvements.

The role manages a team of cash application professionals, sets priorities, mentors staff, and delivers executive reports and analytics on KPIs, cash trends, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years AR or cash app experience.
• 2+ years managing teams.
• Experience with lockbox, ACH, wire payments.
• Experience with ERP and automation technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end cash application operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Lead a team of cash application specialists, setting priorities and managing workload.
• Drive reduction of unapplied cash through root cause analysis and targeted plans.
• Manage month-end close Activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain controls, procedures, and documentation for audits.
• Develop, coach and retain talent; foster continuous improvement culture.
• Develop and deliver executive reporting and operational analytics (KPIs, cash trends).
• Initiate continuous improvement efforts focused on automation and standardization.
