Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
• Demonstrated strong team and strategic leadership skills
• Demonstrated exceptional customer focus
• Excellent verbal communication, technical writing, and engineering presentation skills
• Aerospace/jet engine industry experience desirable
• Gas turbine compressor experience and design development experience desirable
• Experience with gas turbine engine rotating hardware
• Experience in a team leader role or similar task leadership position
• Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, and MS Project
• Experience in Agile Project Management, including Scrum and Kanban
• Experience working with Jira
• Proficiency with CORE and QCPC continuous improvement principles
• Program/project management tools including SAP, EVMS, Teamcenter
• Skills aligned with Pratt & Whitney Leadership Operating Model

Responsibilities

• Manage an Agile Scrum team as Scrum Master to meet task and technical requirements
• Work with team members and authorities on part development
• Recommend product improvements and identify and address project problems
• Analyze data, develop solutions and recommendations, meet deadlines, and optimize performance
• Communicate status and technical content to CIPT
• Perform Control Account Manager duties by tracking progress and resolving obstacles affecting budget and schedules
• Integrate and manage part-level sourcing activities with procurement, industrial, manufacturing, and internal/external supply chain teams
• Coordinate timely creation and release of model-based product definition
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Travel up to 10%
• Collaborate within Compression Systems Engineering on design, development, and in-service support of fans and low- and high-pressure compressors
