Job summary

Jobtailor in Phoenix, AZ seeks a seasoned Project Engineer and Cost Account Manager to lead a demonstration program. You will own the budget, schedule, milestones, and technical deliverables for engine and rig tests, while coordinating stakeholders across engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing.

You will drive estimating and planning for major development efforts and report directly to the Director of Engineering, ensuring compliance with certification standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in gas turbine engines or aerospace systems.
• Project management experience.
• Experience leading complex projects interfacing with cross-functional teams, external customers and suppliers.
• Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management, risk management and earned value management.
• U.S. Person status: citizen, permanent resident, or export authorization capability.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics


• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in design, development, test and/or certification of gas turbine engines, engine control systems or other aerospace systems


• Project management experience


• Experience leading complex technical projects interfacing with cross-functional teams, external customers and suppliers


• Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management, risk management and earned value management


• Strong problem-solving skills


• Strong technical experience in propulsion systems and gas turbine engines


• Good working knowledge of Part 33 and Part 25 certification


• Experience managing customer or supplier relationships


• U.S. Person status: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee status, or ability to obtain export authorization
