Job summary

Revolution Workshop is seeking a Case Manager to guide trainees through enrollment, participation, and completion of the Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program. You will be the main contact for trainees, teaching soft skills, coaching, and helping remove barriers to employment in Chicago.

Responsibilities include coordinating support services, conducting assessments, and promoting RW programs to community partners. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and nonprofit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field.
• At least three years’ experience with diverse groups.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of social services available to underserved communities in Chicago.
• Excellent computer skills – Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the support services for each trainee based on individual needs (transportation, housing, financial issues, childcare, etc.).
• Develop plans with trainees to overcome employment barriers through one-on-one sessions.
• Conduct one-on-one assessments and goal checks to support trainees’ financial goals during training.
• Teach weekly executive functioning classes (goal setting, conflict resolution, time management).
• Teach weekly financial capabilities classes (income/expenses, budgeting, banking, debt).
• Promote Revolution Workshop programs to community organizations via email, calls, informationals and visits.
• Screen and select participants for RW programs through in-person interviews.
• Maintain trainee databases (Salesforce) and input data for funding/program needs.
