Job summary

Volunteers of America Massachusetts is hiring a Part-time Case Manager to support the Pipelines to Possibility program in Lawrence, MA. The role involves intake, assessments, and developing plans to help participants secure sustainable employment in climate-critical jobs.

You will work with the Program Director, MassHire, and local employers, traveling between sites as needed and maintaining strong advocacy and coordination to reduce barriers to reentry.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly and document participant information.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong relationship-building with participants and partners.
• Ability to work with correctional and community agencies.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, assessments, and strengths-based evaluation of employment goals.
• Develop and update Individualized Development Plans (IDPs).
• Provide ongoing case management before and after release in the community.
• Identify barriers to training and employment; coordinate referrals.
• Educate participants about available community resources and supports.
• Coordinate progress with program staff, MassHire, and partners.
• Assist with resumes, interview prep, and job search strategies.
• Support employer outreach and placement activities.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in CareLogic or equivalent.
