Job summary

Father Joe's Villages in San Diego, CA seeks a hands-on Supervisor of Case Management to lead a team delivering Permanent Supportive Housing services. This full-time role emphasizes supervision, program oversight, and direct client support in housing stability initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least five years in case management, and one to two years in leadership. A California driver’s license and HMIS familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in case management or a related human services setting.
• One to two years of lead or supervisory experience supporting employee development and service delivery.
• Experience with individuals/families experiencing homelessness, preferably in Permanent Supportive Housing.
• Valid California driver's license and knowledge of HMIS and case management standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop Case Managers and Tenant Services Coordinators through regular supervision and performance management.
• Provide hands-on support for complex client situations, including case consultation and crisis response.
• Facilitate MAS meetings and coordinate care planning with internal teams and external partners.
• Promote Housing First and trauma-informed practices across service delivery.
• Review caseloads, service plans, referrals, and HMIS entries to ensure quality and compliance.
• Conduct file reviews and quality assurance to meet program requirements.
• Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Carry a caseload and provide direct case management as needed to support housing stability.
• Foster an accountable, collaborative team culture focused on client outcomes.
