Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is seeking a full-time Case Aide for the Next Steps Day Treatment program to provide whole-person services and support client goals. You will assist with intake/discharge paperwork and collaborate with treatment professionals to ensure quality care in Elgin.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and experience with EHR documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates, bachelors, or masters in a social service field preferred.
  • Annual TB test required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Proficiency in EHR documentation and review.
  • Experience helping people create change preferred.
  • Clinically trained with best practices; diverse client ages.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards preferred.
  • Experience establishing collaborative community partnerships preferred.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and PC skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed revenue productivity.
  • Collaborate with clients to complete intake/discharge packets and admin paperwork.
  • Provide billable case management per shift across multiple residential sites.
  • Adhere to compliance rules for treatment services and contracts.
  • Complete documentation within timelines.
  • Understand and reflect the program's clinical model.
  • Maintain NASW Code of Ethics in practice.
  • Demonstrate professional, respectful conduct with clients and partners.

LSSI is hiring a full-time Case Aide, for the Next Steps Day Treatment program. Responsible for providing whole-person services to clients participating in SUD services, including case management assistance. Also responsible for assisting clients in achieving their stated goals and objectives as well as collaborating with internal and external treatment professionals and community partners.

Schedule

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00PM to 8:30AM

Essential Functions
  • Meet and exceed revenue productivity.
  • Collaborate with clients to complete Intake/Discharge packets and other administrative paperwork.
  • Elgin Residential: 3 hours of billable case management per 8-hour shift. Elgin Recovery Home: 3 hours of billable case management per 8-hour shift. Kenmore Residential: 3 hours of billable case management per 8-hour shift. Kenmore Recovery Home: 3 hours of billable case management per 8-hour shift.
  • Adhere to all compliance rules regarding treatment services and contracts.
  • Follow and adhere to all timelines regarding documentation completion.
  • Understand and reflect the clinical model of the program.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards of treatment, including NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.

  • Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.
