Job summary

ShopRite of Old Bridge is hiring a CSA/Carts Clerk to provide friendly, efficient service and assist customers with groceries in a busy store environment. You will collect and return carts, help customers, and maintain a clean, safe shopping area.

This position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and the willingness to work as part of a cooperative team. The pay is hourly, and benefits are described in the store program.

Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Collect and return carts from the parking lot.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to policy.
• Perform duties in accordance with safety, QA and company policies.
• Work overtime as assigned.
