Job summary

ShopRite of Somerset in Somerset, NJ is seeking a CSA/Carts Clerk to deliver a friendly, efficient shopping experience, collecting and returning carts from the parking lot and assisting customers with groceries as needed. Salary range is $15.92 per hour.

This role supports frontline service priorities and requires physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and keep the store area neat and safe. Applicants must be 18+ and able to work varied shifts, including overtime, with a strong commitment

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Must interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Collect empty carts and return them to proper place.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock items following policy.
• Perform duties in accordance with safety and QA standards.
• Promote current charitable promotions to Customers.
