Job summary

ShopRite in South Brunswick, NJ is hiring a CSA/Carts Clerk to provide friendly and efficient service while collecting carts, assisting customers, and keeping the front-end area clean and safe.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, returning carts, handling merchandise with care, and complying with safety and QA standards. You must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of scheduled shift.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.
• Interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Follow time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet all Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Return carts and assist customers with their groceries as needed.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy.
• Adhere to safety and QA standards and wear required PPE.
• Dress and groom according to policy, including uniform.
• Promote current charitable promotions to Customers.
• Stay aware of store layout and price locations.
