Job summary

ShopRite of Neptune in Neptune, NJ is seeking a CSA/Carts Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service, collect and return carts, and assist customers with their groceries. This front-end role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and a positive shopping experience.

The position requires English literacy, the ability to stand for long shifts, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits are available under the company’s agreement, with opportunities for team collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine duties.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.
• Able to work all assigned work schedules and comply with attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Collect empty shopping carts from assigned areas and return them to their proper place.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to Company policy, with priority attention given to refrigerated, perishable items, and sell by date.
• Perform duties in accordance with QA standards and safety guidelines.
• Dress and groom according to Company policy including uniform, name badge, and hat restraints.
• Stand at work station for duration of scheduled shift; may exceed 8 hours.
• Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing 25 lbs; up to 50 lbs.
• Understand and adhere to Company shrink guidelines for Front-End operations.
• Check prices and be knowledgeable about item locations.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
• Work overtime as assigned.
