US Multimodal Group is seeking a motivated Carrier Sales Representative to develop and manage relationships with motor carriers, negotiate freight rates, secure transportation capacity, and ensure the successful movement of freight while maximizing profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years in carrier sales, freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and TMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and transportation providers.
• Source and secure carrier capacity to meet shipment requirements.
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements while maximizing profitability.
• Track and manage shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Communicate proactively with carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and exceptions.
• Resolve service issues, delays, and transportation challenges quickly and professionally.
• Monitor market trends, lane activity, and carrier performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in transportation management systems (TMS).
