Job summary

RXO, a leading provider of transportation solutions in North America, seeks a Carrier Sales Specialist to source, negotiate, and secure carriers for timely, cost-efficient freight movement.

You will cultivate carrier relationships, maintain open communication with customers, and manage schedules while following RXO procedures to protect shipment integrity. Minimum 1 year carrier sales experience required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of carrier sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of transportation experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion within authorized limits.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight.
• Cultivate strong carrier relationships and maintain communication with carriers and customers.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, or freight concerns as needed.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments considering weather, traffic, and service rules.
• Follow procedures for HVS and HRC loads to protect shipment integrity and RXO brand.
• Update information in company operating systems accurately.
• Research databases for potential leads and make cold calls to prospects.
• Track back-end billing and ensure carrier charges are accurate.
