Job summary

PLA Pallet Logistics of America is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative in Orlando to grow a trusted carrier network and secure optimal rates. You will negotiate, cover loads, and coordinate with the Customer Sales team to meet deadlines.

Expect weekly pay, benefits, and 401(k) matching as part of a comprehensive compensation package. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer service, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple shipments while using a TMS and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience (required).
• Negotiation or logistics experience is a plus; fast-paced customer-facing roles encouraged.
• Strong communication skills, both on the phone and in writing.
• Sound judgment and the confidence to make quick decisions.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carrier Network Development: Build and grow a network of trusted carriers, from onboarding new partners to strengthening existing relationships.
• Load Coverage: Cover loads by posting to load boards, taking and making calls, negotiating rates, and securing carriers for dedicated opportunities.
• Customer Service: Partner with our Customer Sales team to meet customer deadlines and solve problems when things don't go as planned.
• Tracking and Tracing: Track shipments from pickup to delivery, keep everyone informed, and update our Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Administrative Support: Support the team with Proof-of-Delivery requests, billing questions, and carrier accessorial requests.
