Job summary

Ideal candidates will negotiate rates, quote efficiently using TMS and data, and manage day-to-day brokered loads while ensuring on-time performance and compliance with carrier requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Experience using TMS and load boards preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of direct shipper customers in the Midwest and nationally.
• Identify and secure spot and contractual freight opportunities.
• Negotiate freight rates with shippers and carriers.
• Quote rates using TMS and market data.
• Coordinate day-to-day brokered loads, booking and dispatch.
• Track shipments, troubleshoot delays and ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure carriers meet company requirements and complete carrier packets.
• Post workloads on load boards and prioritize margins.
• Invoice customers and manage payment terms.
• Meet monthly gross margin and load count goals.
