Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and develop Carrier Sales Representatives to reach goals.
  • Identify and procure strategic carrier partners for recurring lanes.
  • Source capacity for lanes identified from existing customers and opportunities.
  • Handoff strategic carriers to CSRs for deeper relationships.
  • Understand carrier network and document booking behavior and preferences.
  • Drive digital booking/routing engagement and ensure load information is distributed.
  • Oversee day-to-day ops within the team to ensure policy and service standards.
  • Assist CSRs with problem resolution and escalate when needed.
  • Maintain after-hours responsiveness and ensure strong attendance and reliability.
  • Promote a respectful, productive, and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Successfully manage, train, and develop a team of Carrier Sales Representatives toreach their full potential and meet goals.


Identify, prospect and procure strategic carrier partners to run committed recurring laneson existing accounts


Source capacity for lanes identified from existing customers recurring opportunity lanesin Parade.


Hand off identified strategic carriers to CSRs for building deeper carrier relationships


Gain strong understanding of carrier network and needs and document booking behaviorand preferences in Parade.


Solicit participation of dedicating capacity for high traffic lanes and drive engagement fordigital booking/routing guide activity via Parade.


Gather and distribute load information and assignments to ensure the proper handoff forthe Carrier Sales Representatives to manage.


Ensure Carrier Sales Representatives are building profitable and professional businessrelationships with carriers


Ensure booking activity and carrier development with handed off carriers


Oversee the smooth delivery of day-to-day operations activities within your team toensure adherence to policy, outstanding service to all company business partners, andprofitable growth.


Assists Carrier Sales Representatives with solving problems that arise or escalates tomanager if necessary.


Actively participates as a team member to assist in supporting the business, including posting, building, dispatching, monitoring and obtaining paperwork for loads.


Provides quick, accurate, professional resolutions for pickup, transit and delivery-relatedproblems. Remains steady under changing situations and collaborates with customersales.


Remains fully informed of all rules and regulations, and other industry requirements andaccurately applies this information when making transportation arrangements.


Maintains a high level of competency with all systems and support training of other teammembers as needed.


Takes prompt corrective action, while keeping immediate supervisor proactively and fullyinformed.


Actively develop Carrier Sales Representatives and ensure skills and performance aremeeting job expectations.


Field after hours calls as assigned or as needed.


Meets or exceed goals for expected behaviors. Maintain a respectful, positive workingrelationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative andharmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum employee morale,productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Travel

Less than 10% travel is expected for this position.


Qualifications:

4-year degree (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field preferred)


Minimum of 3 years of industry related experience (Transportation, Logistics,Procurement), 5+ years preferred OR equivalent experience.


Deep understanding of Carrier prospecting, sourcing and negotiation


Experience owning and executing initiatives


Experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
