Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, TX, is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to source and secure carrier capacity for our Road US brokerage team. You will negotiate rates, coordinate shipments, and build long-term carrier partnerships to deliver reliable transportation solutions.

The role requires 1–3 years in logistics or freight brokerage, strong negotiation skills, and proficient use of TMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year minimum experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or customer service (3+ years preferred).
• 1 year minimum carrier sales experience focused on drayage (3+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of transportation and drayage operations, including carrier regulations and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel preferred.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Analytical thinker with mathematical pricing acumen.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with multi-priority management.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers and drivers for freight coverage.
• Manage daily dispatch communications with carriers.
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery with timely updates.
• Verify carrier documentation for on-time closeout and billing.
• Develop and maintain long-term carrier relationships for capacity reliability.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to provide pricing input and updates.
• Assist with customer service and account management tasks.
• Monitor market conditions and rate trends to stay competitive.
• Generate new carrier leads and onboard qualified partners.
• Identify and resolve shipment issues with sound judgment.
• Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.
