Job summary

STG Express is seeking a Carrier Representative to grow relationships with licensed motor carriers and secure capacity for customer shipments. You will plan deliveries, manage shipments, and perform shift-based administrative duties while maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1 year in operations or dispatch, 2 years in logistics, strong analytics and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of experience in operations or dispatch environment.
• 2 years of logistics or transportation experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, potential customers, and licensed motor carriers.
• Build, develop, grow and maintain relationships with licensed motor carriers.
• Plan and facilitate customer deliveries.
• Administrative duties which align with each assigned shift.
• Proactively communicate with customers on potential service failures and create action plans to avoid issues in the future.
• Execute legging/street turn/empty repositioning functionality in Rail Optimizer.
• Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
• Maintain proper records and ensure information was executed correctly and on time.
• Shifts are subject to change at any time.
