RPM is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist – Carrier Operations in Florida to manage day-to-day payment and billing communications with transportation carriers, process payments, and review Bills of Lading for accuracy.

You will serve as the main contact for carrier payment inquiries, maintain documentation, reconcile statements, and collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualificações

• 1-3 years of Accounts Payable, transportation accounting, or related field.
• Experience with transportation carriers, BOLs, or freight auditing.
• Attention to detail with ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Excel with basic formulas and reconciliation activities.
• Experience with TMS, ERP, or accounting software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for carrier relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Understanding of carrier payment processes and freight documentation.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

• Answer and resolve inbound carrier calls regarding payment status, invoice discrepancies, and account inquiries
• Process carrier payments accurately and in accordance with payment terms and schedules
• Review carrier accounts regularly to identify discrepancies, outstanding balances, or billing errors
• Review, verify, and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) to ensure accuracy and match against invoices/freight bills
• Investigate and resolve escalated carrier issues, coordinating with internal departments as needed
• Reconcile carrier statements against internal records
• Maintain organized documentation of carrier communications, payment records, and BOLs
• Identify and flag recurring issues or discrepancies for process improvement
• Ensure compliance with company AP policies and carrier payment agreements
• Communicate professionally with carriers to maintain positive working relationships
