Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. seeks a Carrier Manager to facilitate the movement of loads by contracting and managing an outsourced network of transportation providers. You will track freight to meet customer requirements and maintain high service levels with carriers.

Responsibilities include negotiating rates, growing carrier networks, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues, while leveraging Excel and Power BI for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
• Experience in Sales, Transportation, Finance, or Hospitality preferred.
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage carrier relationships to negotiate rates and secure load coverage.
• Develop and maintain carrier networks via lead generation and referrals.
• Monitor carrier performance and ensure high service levels.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve carrier and customer issues.
• Track freight and ensure customer requirements are met.
