Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Carrier Sales Rep 1 to facilitate load movement by contracting an outsourced network of transportation providers and ensuring service excellence for customers.

The role emphasizes building and maintaining carrier relationships, monitoring performance, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues. The position requires a high school diploma with preferred bachelor’s level experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel/Power BI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage carrier relationships to negotiate rates and secure load coverage.
• Establish, grow, and manage a network of carriers via lead generation and referrals.
• Develop and maintain quality relationships with carriers, transportation providers, drivers, and stakeholders through proactive communication.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues for carrier partners and customers.
• Monitor carrier performance to maintain high levels of service.
