Uber Freight seeks a Carrier Manager to oversee carrier performance, optimize costs, and drive procurement events at a customer site in Rural Hall, NC. Onsite role requiring collaboration with operations and accounts teams to improve service levels and bid execution.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, onboarding carriers, and managing transportation cost efficiency with strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years transportation experience managing truckload carrier performance and cost efficiency.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years analyzing and managing Truckload transportation is a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CSA, HOS regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate carrier compliance and performance on weekly, monthly, and quarterly levels.
• Support KPI reviews and proactive carrier performance improvements.
• Assist with onsite and virtual meetings for external carriers.
• Onboard carriers and support EDI / Carrier Portal setup.
• Lead end-to-end procurement events such as RFPs and mini-bids.
