Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Carrier Recruiter to source, vet, and onboard trucking carriers for our growing logistics network. You will rely on your industry knowledge and existing carrier relationships to bring qualified carriers into our network.

This role requires deep understanding of carrier compliance, insurance requirements, and onboarding documents such as COI, W‑9, MC Authority, a DOT Number, and FMCSA safety standards. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous carrier recruiting experience.
• Carrier onboarding process knowledge.
• Insurance requirements (COI) understanding.
• FMCSA compliance awareness.
• Existing network of carriers preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Source and recruit qualified owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of reliable carriers.
• Conduct initial carrier qualification and screening.
• Collect and verify onboarding documentation (COI, W-9, MC Authority, DOT Number, Operating Authority, Safety Rating).
• Verify insurance requirements and coverage limits.
• Ensure carriers meet compliance standards and company requirements.
• Maintain communication throughout onboarding process.
• Coordinate with operations teams.
• Track recruiting progress and onboarding status.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Carrier Recruiter to help source, vet, and onboard qualified trucking carriers for our growing logistics network. This role is ideal for a self-motivated recruiter with strong industry knowledge, existing carrier relationships, and the ability to operate independently. The ideal candidate understands carrier compliance, insurance requirements, and onboarding documentation, and can quickly bring reliable carriers into our network.

Responsibilities

• Source and recruit qualified owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies
