Job summary

ACERTUS is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator I to proactively source carrier capacity, match loads with dedicated carriers, and optimize assignments using data and performance scorecards. The role manages carrier communications, audits issues, and builds lasting relationships to support reliable transportation operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business or related field is a plus.
• 1-3 years of dispatching experience, preferably in logistics.
• Some experience with customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source carrier capacity through cold calling, outreach, and relationship development.
• Optimize load assignments using historical data, market insights, and carrier performance scorecards.
• Manage inbound and outbound communication with carriers to ensure timely updates and issue resolution.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve operational and audit-related issues.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to support dedicated partnerships.
• Support load coverage through planning, coordination, and execution.
• Assist with order payables, costing analysis, and monitoring market trends.
• Proactively support the carrier operations team to ensure reliable transportation performance.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
