Mortenson Construction is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to oversee project carpentry crews and coordinate all self-performed work. You will review blueprints, set up layouts, and ensure materials and installations meet code and project specs.

The role demands experience with framing, finish carpentry, and lead-by-example leadership. Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Ability to read plans and visualize structures from drawings.
• Operate basic carpentry tools and equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project carpentry crews and supervise all self-performed work.
• Ensure IWP is understood by crew and review blueprints for dimensions.
• Lay out floor plans and cabinetwork using standard tools.
• Inspect materials for code compliance and determine sequence of fabrication.
• Lead by example and coach team members; communicate across diverse groups.
• Perform finish carpentry tasks and install doors, trim, cabinets, and fixtures.
