Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to oversee project carpentry crews, coordinate self-performed work, and ensure alignment with project plans. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and quality across carpentry tasks on site.

You will read blueprints, lay out floor plans, inspect materials for code compliance, assign tasks, and coach team members while collaborating with other trades. This position requires apprenticeship completion, five years in carpentry, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program is required.
• Ability to read plans and visualize structures from drawings.
• Experience with carpentry tools and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-performed carpentry work on site.
• Interpret blueprints and ensure IWP understanding.
• Layout floor plans and cabinet work.
• Inspect materials for code compliance.
• Coordinate fabrication sequence and assign tasks.
• Supervise subcontractor work for ductwork and wiring.
• Lead, coach, and develop crew.
