Job summary

JES Holdings, through its Metro Services Groups division, is seeking a skilled crafts professional to perform capital improvement projects in the Columbia, MO region. Travel is required Monday through Friday, with overnights as needed, and the candidate must have reliable transportation to company locations.

Responsibilities include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywall, masonry, painting, and related trades for major renovations and rehabs. Safety and training are emphasized in the role.

Qualifications

• Capital improvement project experience including carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
• Must have own hand and power tools.
• Background check and periodic drug testing required.
• Must be willing to travel and stay overnight.

• Performs capital improvement projects including rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting, and janitorial work for major renovations and rehabs.
• Travel Monday-Friday about 75% of the time; home on weekends.
• Follow safe work practices at all times.
• Attend regional and corporate trainings and/or conferences as required.
• Possess reliable transportation to drive to company locations as needed.

This role involves travel throughout the Columbia region. Overnight travel required.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs capital improvement projects to include rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced.

2. Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed.

3. Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time. Home on the weekends.

4. Follows safe work practices.

5. Travels to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of building trades – Advanced.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to set deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and specifications.
• Proven operation of equipment and tools needed for the role; Must have own hand and power tools.
• Must Have Current Driver’s License, Vehicle, and Insurance.
• Must Pass Background Check and Periodic Drug Testing.
• Must Be Willing to Travel and Stay Overnight.
