Job summary

JES Holdings, Metro Services Groups, seeks a field technician to perform capital improvement projects including carpentry, plumbing, drywall, electrical and related trades across the Columbia region.

Travel Monday–Friday about 75% with weekends at home; must have own tools, driver’s license, vehicle, and pass background/drug checks. Duties also include safety compliance and attending regional training as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building trades at an advanced level.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Must have own hand and power tools.
• Must have current driver’s license and vehicle.

Position Summary/Purpose:

Performs capital improvement projects to include carpentry, plumbing, electrical related to major renovations or rehabs.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs capital improvement projects to include rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced.

2. Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed.

3. Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time. Home on the weekends.

4. Follows safe work practices.

5. Travels to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of building trades – Advanced.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to set deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and specifications.
• Proven operation of equipment and tools needed for the role; Must have own hand and power tools.
• Must Have Current Driver’s License, Vehicle, and Insurance.
• Must Pass Background Check and Periodic Drug Testing.
• Must Be Willing to Travel and Stay Overnight.
