Job summary

JES Holdings, a division of Metro Services Groups, seeks a Capital Improvement Technician to perform carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work on major renovations and rehabs in the Columbia area. The role requires driving to company locations and completing projects to meet timelines.

Expect travel Monday–Friday about 75% with overnight stays. You must have your own hand and power tools, a valid driver’s license with vehicle/insurance, and be able to pass background and drug tests while

• Knowledge of building trades – Advanced.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and specifications.
• Proven operation of equipment and tools needed for the role; Must have own hand and power tools.
• Must Have Current Driver’s License, Vehicle, and Insurance.
• Must Pass Background Check and Periodic Drug Testing.
• Must Be Willing to Travel and Stay Overnight.

Responsibilities

• Performs capital improvement projects including rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial tasks related to major renovations and rehabs.
• Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time; home on weekends.
• Follows safe work practices.
• Travels to and participates in regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs capital improvement projects to include rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced.

2. Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed.

3. Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time. Home on the weekends.

4. Follows safe work practices.

5. Travels to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
