Job summary

Metro Services Group in Missouri is seeking a Carpenter/ Remodeling Technician to perform capital improvement projects including rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and related renovations. This role requires travel across the Columbia region with overnight stays as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of carpentry/remodeling experience, own hand and power tools, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Position Summary/Purpose:

Performs capital improvement projects to include carpentry, plumbing, electrical related to major renovations or rehabs.

Essential Functions:

• Performs capital improvement projects to include rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced.
• Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed.
• Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time. Home on the weekends.
• Follows safe work practices.
• Travels to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of building trades – Advanced.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to set deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and specifications.
• Proven operation of equipment and tools needed for the role; Must have own hand and power tools.
• Must Have Current Driver’s License, Vehicle, and Insurance.
• Must Pass Background Check and Periodic Drug Testing.
• Must Be Willing to Travel and Stay Overnight.
