Job summary

JES Holdings, through its Metro Services Groups division, performs capital improvement projects including carpentry, plumbing and electrical work for major renovations and rehabs in the Columbia, MO region.

The role requires travel about 75% Monday–Friday with overnight stays. A valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance are required, and applicants must pass background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building trades and advanced carpentry, plumbing or electrical work.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must own hand and power tools needed for the job.
• Must have valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs capital improvement projects including rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial tasks related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced.
• Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time; home on weekends.
• Follow safe work practices and participate in regional and corporate training as required.

Position Summary/Purpose:

Performs capital improvement projects to include carpentry, plumbing, electrical related to major renovations or rehabs.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs capital improvement projects to include rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced.

2. Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed.

3. Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time. Home on the weekends.

4. Follows safe work practices.

5. Travels to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of building trades – Advanced.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to set deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and specifications.
• Proven operation of equipment and tools needed for the role; Must have own hand and power tools.
• Must Have Current Driver’s License, Vehicle, and Insurance.
• Must Pass Background Check and Periodic Drug Testing.
• Must Be Willing to Travel and Stay Overnight.
