Job summary

Morton Buildings is expanding its construction crews and employee owners. New hires earn $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, paid weekly, with a $2,000 sign-on style bonus for the first year and an additional $500 quarterly bonus during the first year.

Training and safety procedures are emphasized as part of the onboarding process. Under the crew foreman, you will read and follow plans, operate tools, and perform site tasks from footing to siding and roofing.

Qualifications

• Experience in post-frame construction or carpentry is preferred.
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
• Dig and install footings, frame walls/roofs, install windows/doors, and apply siding/roofing materials.
• Work with crew members in a safe, organized, productive environment with respect for others.
