Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks a skilled Carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks on-site across diverse projects. You will read blueprints, install framing, doors, stairs, and millwork, and ensure safety and quality on every task.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, strong math and measurement skills, and a commitment to reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Follow safety practices per the safety program.
• Ability to take initiative and ask questions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Provide own safety footwear.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and measurement skills.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Preferred: OSHA 10, CPR & First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and removal of concrete forms used for concrete installation.
• Build and install window-frames, doors, staircases, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall and frames.
• Ensure flooring, roofing, and drywall are level and compatible.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
• Measure material needs, cut and fit components, and handle door frames.
• Load/unload materials, equipment, and tools; assist with jobsite organization.
• Support layout and alignment to progress knowledge and skill progression.
• Maintain a safe work environment and secure the jobsite daily.
