Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a skilled carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks on diverse projects. You will interpret blueprints, measure materials, and install doors, stairways, drywall, and framing while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include forming concrete, trimming, and aligning structures with precise layouts. If you bring a high school diploma, a valid license, and a proactive work ethic, you’ll fit this hands-on role well.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Follow safe work practices in accordance with safety program.
• Must take initiative and ask questions.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Strong communication with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Strong math reasoning and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and removal of concrete forms used for concrete installation.
• Assist with building and installing window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, stairways, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and overall building frames.
• Ensure layout of flooring, roofing, and drywall are leveled and compatible.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp project requirements.
• Measure and calculate the size and amount of material needed, including cutting and shaping wood.
• Load, unload, identify and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools.
• Job shadow in area assignments to ensure project knowledge and skill progression.
• Promote a safe work environment and secure the jobsite daily.
