Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks, stairways, doorframes, partitions, millwork, and drywall on on-site projects. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of wood and metal properties are essential, with safety-focused responsibilities across diverse tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Follow safe work practices per safety program.
• Must take initiative and ask questions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Provide own safety footwear.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and removal of concrete forms used for concrete installation.
• Assist with building and installing window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, stairways, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and overall building frames.
• Ensure flooring, roofing, and drywall are leveled and compatible.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
• Measure material quantities and cut/shape accordingly; assist with moving and placing door frames.
• Load, unload, identify and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools.
• Job shadow area assignments to progress knowledge and skills.
• Assist with area housekeeping and maintaining site safety.
• Promote a safe work environment and secure the jobsite daily.
